Vehicle Documents
Vehicle release notary, when you need the car back
Tow yards, impound lots, lenders, and out-of-state agencies often require a notarized signature before they'll release a vehicle or transfer a title. We come to you, often the same day.
What we handle

- Authorizations allowing someone else to pick up a vehicle from a tow yard or impound lot
- Lien releases and lender documents
- Vehicle powers of attorney
- Out-of-state title and registration paperwork that requires a notary
How it works
Get the right form
Ask the tow yard, lender, or agency which document they need notarized.

Before you book
Have these ready
- Confirm with the tow yard, lender, DMV, or agency that the document must be notarized.
- The registered owner (the person signing) has a current, government-issued photo ID.
- The form is complete except for the signature.
- Have the vehicle details (plate, VIN) filled in before we arrive.
Good to know. We notarize the owner's signature. We can't tell you which form a tow yard, lender, or the DMV requires, or fill it out for you. Please check with the agency receiving the document.
Questions
Can the person picking up the car sign instead of the owner?
No. The person whose signature needs notarizing must appear in person with ID.
Can you meet me near the tow yard?
Yes. We can meet anywhere convenient in Los Angeles County.
Do all DMV forms need a notary?
No. Many don't. Check with the DMV or the agency asking for the document.
