Information this website collects
This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies, and it does not collect or store personal information. The fee estimator on our booking page runs entirely in your browser; nothing you enter is sent or saved.
Booking and payments
Our Secure Booking Portal and secure payment processing are provided by Square, our booking and payment provider. When you book or pay, you provide your information directly to Square on its secure pages, and Square's privacy policy applies. We never see or store your full card number.
Payment, cancellation & refund policy
- How payment works. You pay in two parts. At booking, we collect only the agreed travel fee (or the flat visit, signing, or apostille service fee). At your appointment, after the notarizations are done, we collect the notary fees plus any add-ons you used, such as witnesses, printing, wait time, or after-hours, weekend, or rush fees. The amount you paid at booking is never charged again.
- Notary fees. Notary fees are never collected in advance. They're charged only for notarizations actually performed, at no more than California's per-signature maximum ($15 today). If fewer or more signatures are notarized than estimated, your final notary fee is adjusted to the actual number. If a notarization can't be completed, no notary fee is charged. We don't charge notary fees where California law prohibits them, such as for certain veterans' benefit and voting documents.
- Travel, visit & service fees. These cover our time and travel and are agreed with you before your appointment. Your appointment is confirmed only after we accept your request and your payment has gone through.
- Refunds of the amount paid at booking. Full refund if we can't accept your request, if we cancel, or if you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment. For bookings made less than 24 hours ahead, it's fully refundable until we're on our way. Not refundable once we're on our way or with less than 24 hours' notice, including when a notarization can't be completed on arrival (for example, a signer without acceptable ID, a signer who isn't present or able to sign willingly, or a document that isn't ready). Apostille fees are not refundable once your request has been submitted to the Secretary of State, because the state fee is paid at that time.
- Rescheduling & cancelling. Reschedule or cancel free with at least 24 hours' notice. Because your booking is prepaid, please reply to your confirmation text or call or text us rather than cancelling online. Refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few business days to post them.
- Loan signings through a title, escrow, or signing company. Nothing is charged online. Fees are paid by the hiring company under its own terms.
- Wait time & refusal of service. The first 15 minutes of waiting are free, then $20 per 15 minutes. We may decline any notarization that doesn't meet California requirements, including when a signer appears confused, pressured, or unwilling.
Your documents
We do not keep copies of the documents we notarize. California law requires us to record each notarization in a sequential journal, which we keep secure and disclose only as the law requires.
